Governance


The Institute of IT Training is the world's first professional body for IT training professionals. It was established in 1995 and since then has grown on an annual basis where it is now firmly established as the leading authority throughout the UK and Europe on IT training and development.


The Institute of IT Training exists to continuously raise standards of professionalism within the training industry. Through an unrivalled range of membership, certification, accreditation, events and bespoke consultancy services, the Institute focuses on enhancing and recognising the skills and professional status of individuals and organisations engaged in training activities, and assessing the quality of training services.



Governance


The Institute of IT Training is a not for profit organisation and is governed by a Board of Directors that has statutory responsibility for running the Institute's affairs. These officials include the NCC Group Chairman, IITT Chief Executive, Group Finance Director, Company Secretary and two non-executive directors.

Members Advisory Board


The Members Advisory Board (MAB) is the prime communication channel between the Institute's officials and the membership. The MAB, reporting to the main Board, comprises the Chief Executive and a non-executive director representing the Main Board and elected members and senior Fellows of the Institute. Note that these members will be conferred with an honorary status of Companion of the Institute of IT Training (CIITT) for the duration of their term of office.


The remit and terms of reference of the Members Advisory Board is as follows:

  • To provide the members it represents with a forum to influence the policy and strategy of the Institute of IT Training

  • To provide a two-way communication between members and the Institute of IT Training

  • To act in the best interests of the members it represents
